The best overall option for aging skin
Lasers have been used as a substitute for chemical peels to strip the top layer of skin and reduce wrinkles. I have never seen the advantage in substituting an inexpensive option (peels) in replacement of this treatment. I have also never been comfortable with the side-effects seen in terms of trading wrinkles for white/waxy looking skin. Our matrix laser is a tried and true technique! The laser makes small holes in the skin, which stimulates the deep layers of the skin – similar to the technique of aerating your lawn. The results are natural and healthy looking and can be recommended to people of all ages or skin types who want to improve their complexion (both color and wrinkles) without the risks of unnatural looking results and excessive downtime. New skin is better looking and healthier than the old skin!

We are pleased to offer IPL treatment in our office. This is a procedure that uses a broad light range to selectively eliminate uneven brown and red tones in sun-injured skin. It is best performed on skin which is not otherwise tanned or burned. Our Scition IPL laser has demonstrated skin rejuvenation in patients who use the treatment 3-4 times a year. Discounted packages are available for this. Not only does skin immediately look better in terms of evening skin pigmentation, very visible improvements in skin health and overall texture are seen over the course of years of maintenance therapy.

Our Lamprobe Cautery device is used to treat a variety of common minor skin conditions including telangiectasia (broken capillaries), cherry angiomas, skin tags, sebaceous hyperplasias, actinic keratosis, seborrheic keratosis, and much more. The treatments are exceptionally quick (3-5 seconds), with instantaneous results. The device uses a radio frequency technology to eliminate minor skin conditions with minimal client discomfort. No anesthesia is required, and topical anesthesia is optional. This treatment is often added on to standard skin care services like facials, peels, and IPL treatments.

Whether you have had permanent make-up gone wrong or are simply tired of your body art, tattoo removal may be a good choice for you. Laser tattoo removal involves using laser light to break pigmented particles into smaller pieces so your body’s immune system can clear them from the skin. The Cutera Enlighten laser is the most advanced laser system for tattoo removal. Unlike other tattoo removal systems on the market, Enlighten uses two pulse durations (nanosecond and picosecond) and three unique wavelengths to clear all colors, particle sizes, and densities. It has been shown to remove tattoos more completely and in far fewer treatments than the traditional tattoo removal laser. Enlighten also has a unique superiority for removing the very difficult green and yellow pigments. The number of treatments required vary depending on the composition, depth and color of the tattoo, as well as the size. It is important to remember that the time required to clear the ink is variable based on the individual and can continue after treatment for a period of several months. Treatments are typically spaced out at 6 – 8 week intervals, but longer spacing is not unreasonable. Most patients require between 5-10 treatments. It is a very customized process, and therefore pricing is not fixed. Price is based on the number of treatments you will need to achieve full removal. Some patients chose to simply lighten their tattoo enough to place a fresh tattoo over the old!

Excel V is a powerhouse laser that treats a wide range of vascular (redness and unsightly veins) and pigmented lesions. It can safely and very effectively treat leg veins, facial veins, rosacea, angiomas, poikiloderma, port wine stains, venus lakes, warts, skin tags, and much more. Most treatments require 1-4 treatment sessions. A topical anesthetic is available to minimize discomfort. Redness and swelling can be expected following the treatment and will resolve within a few days. For full face treatments, swelling will peak 24-48 hours post treatment. You can wear makeup and return to normal activities immediately!
